A normal working day on the construction site. Thomas, a 40-year-old crane operator, receives a phone call from his wife Carla asking him to pick her up from hospital. When he arrives, he finds her in tears and learns that she has been in a car accident. Carla tells him about her dance partner David, with whom she had been going to view a house in the countryside and who was killed in the accident. She tries to tell her husband everything openly and honestly, but Thomas becomes increasingly withdrawn. They don’t understand each other.
