Three stories concerning the relationships between adult children and their somewhat distant parents: a reclusive father visited by his grown children in the US, sisters visiting their novelist mother in Dublin, and adult twins called back to their Paris apartment to address a family tragedy.

In the American West, Dusty sees his ranch devastated by a devastating fire. He finds refuge in a makeshift camp, where he slowly begins to give meaning to his life again. Surrounded by people who, like him, have lost everything, unexpected bonds are formed. Driven by the hope of reconnecting with his daughter and ex-wife, he gradually regains the will to rebuild his life.
