In the third and final Riget season, a sleepwalker takes on the role of the deceased spiritualist Mrs. Drusse as a gifted detective mediating between this world and the one beyond, while the son of Swedish chauvinist Dr. Helmer lives up to his egomaniacal father as the new head neurosurgeon. The partially renewed other characters enter into a showdown with the spirit world and become entangled in their own eccentric quirks in the usual surreal manner.
